The paper discusses the influence of the gravitational effects on the stability behavior of a single-phase natural circulation loop. Reference is made to LOOP#1, facility installed at DITEC of University of Genoa. The behavior of single-phase natural circulation loops has been investigated under various thermal conditions and the interest has focused mostly on the stability of the system and on its chaotic behavior. It has been observed that those loops, depending upon geometrical configuration, exhibit oscillatory modes of flow, which can lead to flow reversal or flow stagnation, causing undesirable operational conditions like flow, power or temperature excursions. The main emphasis of the discussion concerns the characterization of the LOOP#1 behavior and the study of the transmission of heat in micro-gravity conditions and in particular in absence of gravity. Together with experimental activity, a numerical analysis using Relap5\Mod3.2 code has been carried out. .
