We report on the results of a coordinated observation of Mrk 421 during outburst using data from XMM-Newton and ground-based TeV data from two Imaging Air Cherenkov Telescopes, the Whipple 10m telescope, based in Arizona, and the MAGIC telescope, based on La Palma in the Canary Islands. The coordinated effort between the two TeV groups allowed for truly simultaneous data in TeV energies during the majority of the XMM observation, which stretched over several hours. This simultaneous coverage with both XMM's EPIC PN detector and Optical Monitor as well as the ground-based TeV telescopes allowed the correlation of X-ray, optical, and TeV variability to be studied over the course of the observation. Studies of spectral hysteresis, multi-wavelength spectral results, and hardness-intensity correlations from the observations will also be presented.
