Extracting velocity fields from data cubes, and the subsequent analysis of velocity fields to derive rotation curves and mass models for disk galaxies is subject to many observational and computational biases. The recently completed BIMA CO(1-0) Survey of Nearby Galaxies (SONG) prompted us to revisit some of the issues in this area. We simulate interferometric array observations of model rotating disk galaxies, and investigate methods for optimum extraction of dynamical parameters. This research was supported by NSF grant AST-9981289.
