The ESA mission BepiColombo will carry out the most exhaustive analysis of Mercury ever done. For that end the set of the instruments that will fly onboard MPO (Mercury Planetary Orbiter) is particularly comprehensive. Among all those instruments, we will focus our attention on the high-resolution camera (HRIC) and the analysis of its capabilities according to the mission nominal parameters fixed by ESA and of the instrument preliminary characteristics required by the scientific team.
