The microlensing optical depth (tau ) toward the Galactic center is quantified using 3D N-body code simulations of the bar, disk, and halo components. Possible microlensing sources include both the remnant population and active stars up to sim 0.8 M_sun. We compute the remnant population using a chemical evolution model. The orientation of the bar is varied and the uncertainties of the bar are constrained by available observations. The results are compared to values of (tau ) obtained by microlensing searches along various lines of sight.
