We present a full-year simulation of both the Martian northern and southern polar vortices. The simulations were performed using the MarsWRF atmospheric model in its GCM mode and in a transverse cylindrical map projection in order to more accurately simulate the polar regions. The transverse cylindrical projection is one where the planetary rotational poles are both at the center of the map and suffer minimal distortion, while the equator is pushed to the edges. A description of the characteristics of the polar vortex (location, magnitude, etc.), its time-evolution, and relevant comparisons are presented.
