Gamma Rays: Bursts, Radiation Mechanisms: Nonthermal

Scientific paper

The spectra and time structures in gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are calculated based on the synchrotron radiation of the particles accelerated impulsively at shock fronts and subsequently cooled by the radiation losses in the optically thin shocked shell for an internal shock scenario. The effects of shock wave propagation on the resulted spectra and time structures are investigated. It is found that the spectral and temporal features of pulses predicted by our physical scenario are in agreement with those of recently determined individual GRB pulses.
