The method for simulating the photoelectric circle recording data with the computer is presented and the determination of center positions of division lines is discussed. For simulating the circle recording data, the authors assume that the function of the image profile of a circle division line is between the triangluar function and the Gaussian function, and the recording noise is of the normal distribution. The simulated output signals of the photoelectric circle recording are obtained by means of combining the function of the image profile with the noise. The method of determining the position of the division line via the linear least squares fit and the calculation formula are given.
