The departure from sphericity of a slowly rotating partially degenerate self-gravitating cluster of fermions is calculated using the Clairaut theory. The required dimensionless moment of inertia has been computed using a recently proposed equation of state for semidegenerate fermion matter, based on a trapezoidal approximation to the Fermi-Dirac distribution function. This permits an analytic perturbative calculation of the cluster flattening around the zero-temperature limit, which simplifies considerably other previous approaches.
