The short term responses of thunderstorm activities to solar flares of
class 2 or greater over 185 meteorological stations in China from 1971 -
1980 are studied. The responses are quite different for different
regions. It gives a new challenge especially to the study of the
correlation mechanisms between solar activities and short term weather.
