A new set of photometric observations of the Ap-star HD 224801 is available. The Von Neumann test and a Fourier analysis method have been applied to search for periodicity. After using a smoothing cubic spline-function, some evidence has been found for a 2h07m period. This period is very close to the 2h04m period found by Rakosch in 1963. The possibility that Alfven waves are producing the short period light variations in magnetic stars is discussed qualitatively.
