Scientific paper

This paper focuses on certain points in the fast explosion model of type-II supernovae, including the position of formation of shock, position of the shock front, the shock velocity and energy. We found that there exists a secondary shock besides the primary shock in the outer core region and that the precise position of the shock front is between the point of maximum entropy change and the point of maximum artificial viscosity. We also give the relation between various definitions of shock energy.
