It is shown that an ideal self-gravitating liquid can move in such a way
as to retain the shape of a quasi-elliptical ring of constant cross
section. Flow of the liquid in a rotating system of coordinates is
potential. The particular case where the liquid admits an annular
equilibrium-configuration is considered.
