We suggest that a quasi-steady magnetic field could be generated in plasmas with HF radiation through wave-wave and wave-particle interactions. It is shown that the behavior of self-generated magnetic fields can be described by nonlinear coupling equations. Numerical results show that a magnetic field self-generated by transverse pumping plasmons may collapse, leading to enhancement of the magnetic field up to 1000 G in a range around 200 km, which corresponds to the observed small-scale fields on the solar surface.
