We present an analysis of IJK band lightcurves obtained from the DENIS photometric calibration starfield archive which were produced by the Paris Data Analysis Center over the duration of the DENIS sky survey programme. Several approaches to identification of poor quality data in this archive are applied and to the classification of the resulting 'cleaned' lightcurves. We discuss generalising these approaches to characterising databases with missing quality information using relationships between data incidents which are in close proximity in parameter space.
