Due to thermal expansion the height of a radiotelescope shows daily and
seasonal variations. Since February 26, 1997 the height variations of
the reference point are continuously monitored. The maximum of variation
is up to 1 mm during a day and more than 3 mm a year, which is regarding
the precision of VLBI not negligible.
