Unlike the traditional method of using an objective prism to find young stars, we present a method which involves searching for Hα sources using visible images taken with an Hα filter at 6566 Å and removing the continuum using a red off line filter at 6440 Å. We present the details of our method as well as how we are using infrared excess and spectral data to confirm if our candidates are actually T Tauri stars. Using five fields 19’ square located around HBC 292, a known T Tauri star, we found a total of 13 possible T Tauri candidates. The only step remaining to confirm if they are T Tauri stars is to take spectral data.
