G-parity violation in semi-leptonic weak decays can originate in physics beyond the Standard Model, or at the few percent level, from differences between the up and down quark wave functions. Present upper limits, while not inconsistent with zero, are rather poor. We propose to improve these limits by measuring the kinematic broadening, caused by the electron-neutrino correlation, in the beta decays of 8B and 8Li. Preliminary data and Monte Carlo calculations showing the potential of the planned experiment will be presented.
