We will continue and complete the infrared imaging of protostars in dense molecular cores search for protobinaries or small groups of protostars. Our target list includes embedded infrared sources in southern molecular cores. These core have been detected velocity gradients so their angular momenta are well determined. Our goal is to study the relationship between binary formation frequency and the core rotation by quantifying the distribution of angular momentum in the parent core versus that in the binary orbits. Our studies will address on the efficiency of fragmentation processes before and during cloud core collapse.
