We present an automated method for detecting faint Kuiper Belt Objects (KBOs) in archival HST/ACS data. We developed a software infrastructure that is flexible and can be used to manage large datasets of archival data for numerous projects, and requires no interaction with a human operator. With this infrastructure, as well as previously developed software for HST data analysis, we hope to detect KBOs with R < 50km and have rapid follow-up and recovery of the detected KBOs for further study. Preliminary results have suggested we can detect 1 KBO per 10 datasets of HST archival data. This work was supported through the NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates Program at Northern Arizona University.
