The Green Bank Telescope is used to search for high redshift neutral hydrogen in the radio spectrum of high redshift quasars. This technique is an important tool for cosmological studies of the formation of galaxies. . The detection of these absorption systems is difficult in the presence of highly variable, terrestrial Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). We present summarize known RFI sources in the frequency range 290 to 920 MHz. The quasar 3C286 is used as a reference for determination of the frequency ranges where high redshift neutral hydrogen absorption may be detected. A high resolution spectrum of neutral hydrogen absorption at 839 MHz is presented.
