We briefly review the most recent prospects for the searches of the charged Higgs bosons with the ATLAS detector at the LHC, within the context of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). Results are presented for Higgs boson masses larger or smaller than the top mass, and for Higgs decays into tau-neutrino pairs and top-bottom pairs. These searches allow the exploration of a large part of the MSSM parameter space, even with a small amount of collected luminosity. In addition, prospects for the determination of the charged Higgs mass and of tanβ are presented.
