The Baksan monopole search experiment is discussed. The advantages of
the Baksan Underground Scintillation Telescope for the experiment are
outlined, as are the three stages of the experiment. The triggers
designed to select slowly moving particles are briefly discussed along
with the trigger logic and selection criterion.
