Different versions of a vertical support system for a metal mirror for a standard nine-point support and additional technological supports are considered in this paper. The most rational support method is chosen by means of an experimental and analytical method developed here, which ensures improved quality in the wavefront produced by the mirror surface. These results can be used in the production of optical telescope mirrors.
