During the past year the Crab-like SNR G21.5-0.9 was observed as a calibration target by the XMM-Newton mission: over 100 ks of total observation time were accumulated by the EPIC instrument, the focal plane imager. Thanks to the large effective area, this allowed to obtain enough data to perform a deep timing analysis of the central core, in order to find possible pulsed emission. The photon events from a region of 25" radius were extracted: then they were barycentric corrected with the right orbit files and the power spectra were calculated. The main results are here presented.
