The authors observed the gamma ray source in the Gemini constellation (known as Geminga), 2CG 195 + 04, known to emit medium energy gamma rays, to see if it also emits very high energy gamma rays at TeV energies in the pulsed mode. This was done by employing the atmospheric Cerenkov technique in a ground-based experiment. The authors searched for a periodicity in the event times in the range P = 60.15 s to 60.35 s in steps of 0.0006 s and in the range 59.0 s to 60.8 s in steps of 0.0018 s. Not finding any significant peak at any phase and for any period, they place a 90% confidence level upper limit of 2×10-11γ cm-2s-1 for the time-averaged flux of pulsed gamma rays at Eγ > 1.7 TeV. This is equivalent to an upper limit of ≡3×10-10erg cm-2s-1 on the power received at earth from the source at Eγ > 1.7 TeV.
