Scientific paper
The authors have observed air showers with primary energies above 30 TeV with the SAS (small air shower) array at Mt. Chacaltaya since September 1987. They investigate both steady and burst emission of gamma rays from active astronomical objects such as Vela X-1, Sco X-1, Cen X-3, SS433, 2A 1822-37.1, Vela pulsar, Cen A and the center of Galaxy, using all observed showers and those with a low content of muons and hadrons. Any significant evidence of gamma-ray emission from these sources is not confirmed. Arrival time distribution of showers from Vela X-1 seems to coincide with a pulsar period.
