The goal of this project is to search for p-mode oscillations in a selected sample of DA white dwarfs near the blue edge of the ZZ Ceti instability strip, where the p-mode instability strip should be located following theoretical models. Our observations were performed using ULTRACAM, mounted at the visitor focus of the VLT, that can reach a speed up to 300 frames/sec in three photometric bands at the same time. Such high time resolution is required because the p-modes in white dwarfs are expected to have very short periods, of the order of tenths of seconds. In this article we present the preliminary results of our multi-band (SLOAN u',g',r') time-series photometry on nine targets and we briefly discuss the upper limits found on the amplitude of the p-modes.
