Orion A is presently the only known source of microwave methanol (CH3OH) maser emission at a wavelength of about 1 cm. A search has been made for emission in the J = 2, 4, and 6 lines of methanol in 132 sources of H2O, SiO, and OH microwave maser emission. No new methanol sources were observed, and a table of upper limits is presented. The apparent uniqueness of Orion A is probably due to its being relatively nearby (0.5 kpc).
