In the method described in the present paper, the attitude of a satellite is determined from measurements carried out with a two-vector angular position monitoring system composed of a magnetometer and a sunseeker. Preliminary processing and smoothing of the input data is accomplished by means of linear nonrecursive digital filters. The attitude is computed locally, by the method of least squares.
