We present the first results of the analysis of the cycle GO 2 S-COSMOS MIPS 24 micron observations. We focus especially on the Deep test area that reaches a depth of 80 microJansky, the final depth of the survey when all the cycle 3 data will be collected.
We have cross-correlated our infrared selected catalog with the photometric redshifts of the COSMOS project used them to study 1) the rest-frame colors of infrared selected galaxies up to z=2, 2) determine luminosity functions at 15 microns at z=1, and show their dependance on the environment as traced by the X-ray selected clusters in the field, but also the mass maps of Massey et al.
We show that infrared selected sources contribute to the population of the so-called green valley between the red and blue sequence. Using the X-ray data and IRAC on the field, we check the respective agn and starburst contributions.
