We have searched the last 6 years of public observations of X-ray bursters by the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE). To date, we have found 634 thermonuclear (type I) bursts from 2678 observations of 38 sources, with more observations becoming public every week. This is a small sample compared to that accumulated by the Wide-Field Camera aboard BeppoSAX, for which measurements of burst rates as a function of persistent luminosity have recently been presented. However, the superior signal-to-noise and time resolution of RXTE allow us to present a complementary analysis of the variations in burst properties as a function of persistent flux (accretion rate). In this poster we describe the variations in burst timescale, energetics, and presence of photospheric radius-expansion as a function of the integrated persistent flux of each source. Where possible, we normalize to the inferred Eddington accretion limit in order to highlight similarities and differences in the bursting behaviour. We briefly explore the implications for models of unstable thermonuclear burning on neutron stars.
