We reduced our photoelectric observations of the eclipsing binary RT CrB made in April-July, 1978 and found that the light curve showed the characteristics of a wave-like distortion. After comparing with other observations in recent years, we found the wave to have the characteristics of an advancing travelling wave with a migration period of 18.5yr. We discuss its possible explanations. We used the classical method to find a preliminary set of photometric elements. After combining with spectrographic results, we found the binary to consist of two separate subgiants, but the primary departs from the usual mass-radius relation for the primaries of RS CVn type binaries.
