It is well assessed that the present rotational state of Centaurs and KBOs is the outcome of their physical nature and dynamical evolution. Therefore, the analysis of the rotations of these objects can give us some hints on their structure and history.
Unfortunately the presently available sample of known rotational rates is still rather limited, including periods of less than 60 KBOs and a dozen of Centaurs.
In order to increase this sample, on April 2007 in the framework of an ESO Large Programme (178.C-0036 PI. M.A. Barucci), we carried out at ESO-NTT (La Silla, Chile) photometric observations of 2 Centaurs (12929 1999 TZ1 and 95626 2002 GZ32), 2 Scattered Objects (65489 Ceto and 42355 Typhon) and 3 TNOs (47932 2000 GN171, 120132 2003 FY128, and 90568 2004 GV9). These observations allowed us to estimate the rotational rate of four objects and to have the first single night lightcurves of 42355 Typhon and 120132 2003 FY128.
