The authors call attention to some possible effects of rotation-induced meridional circulations on B supergiant stars like Sanduleak -69°202, the putative progenitor of Supernova 1987A. The high N/C and N/O ratios detected by IUE observations can possibly be understood in this context, without the condition that Sk -69°202 once had been a red supergiant. It would be much more difficult to explain high He/H ratios or the presence of s-process nuclei in the presupernova envelope on the basis of such mixing.
