Results are presented of computations of lithium depletion in a rotating star due to turbulence induced by nuclear burning and by rotation-induced mixing, taking into account the deceleration of the rotation as the star evolves on the main sequence (but treating the interior as if it were rotating uniformly). Numerical simulations are performed for a range of stellar masses, and their results are compared with the Li and Be abundances observed in the Hyades. It is found that the theoretical predictions agree reasonably well with the observations. However, some discrepancies remain, leading to a conclusion that it is necessary to take into account the mixing associated with the differential rotation which builds up inside the star while it is spinning down on the main sequence.
