Light curves obtained from observations of Pallas in 1968, 1969, and 1971 are analyzed. Standard curves are derived for March and April 1968. The epochs of the extrema are determined by reading the times independently four times: from the unsmoothed curves, from the smoothed curves, from the smoothed curves superimposed one on another, and from the smoothed curves with standard curves superimposed. The readings were weighted, with the smallest weight assigned to the unsmoothed curves and the largest to the standard curves. A synodic period of 7 hr 48 min 27 sec is derived, and the magnitude-phase relation is computed. An opposition effect of 0.32 min is found. Preliminary values for the coordinates of the pole are 228 deg elliptical longitude and +43 deg elliptical latitude. A preliminary value of 7 hr 48 min 38.0 sec is derived for the sidereal period.
