Seyfert Galaxies: X-Ray Images

X-ray images and spectra of double nucleus galaxies containing one Seyfert nucleus are presented. The authors could resolved individual galactic nuclei with ROSAT-HRI. The unresolved PSPC spectra are well described by a dominant power law spectrum and additional thermal bremsstrahlung due to hot gas emission. A comparison with isolated Seyfert galaxies shows double nucleus galaxies to be more luminous by a factor larger than two at all frequencies except in the soft X-ray range.
