Particle injection during acceleration in the presence of ion-acoustic turbulence is investigated. A two-stage model of ion injection during acceleration by plasma turbulence is considered; the first stage entails nonlinear ion scattering by ion-acoustic plasmons, and the second involves linear wave-particle interaction. The theoretical results are compared with specific experimental observations. It is shown that during the injection phase, enrichment coefficients for He-3, He-4, and Fe nuclei may be obtained which are in agreement with those observed in He-3-rich solar events.
