Night equilibrium concentrations of atmospheric and meteor ions are calculated from consideration of active meteor ionization. The extreme values of the effective recombination coefficient of meteor ions 0.01 millionths and 0.1 billionths cu cm per sec were taken. The influx of meteor matter on the earth was assumed 60 tons a day. Theoretical altitude profiles of Mg(+) concentration are compared with the results of rocket mass-spectrometric measurements in the middle latitudes carried out by authors.
