Results of a study of circular current dynamics based on Cosmos-900 measurements of protons with energies of tens of keV and on indirect data on the penetration boundaries of solar protons with energies of about 1 MeV into the magnetosphere are presented. The dynamics of the magnetosphere during magnetic perturbations reflects changes in the geometry of the geomagnetic field produced by the injection of circular current particles. The use of simultaneous measurements by several satellites has made it possible to obtain a detailed picture of changes in the geomagnetic field due to circular current injection for different local time sectors.
