Using Wood's (1972) model we have analyzed Harmanec et al.'s (1973) three-colour photoelectric observations - as yet unsolved - of the eclipsing binary BR Cyg and Wehinger's (1968) two-colour photoelectric lightcurves. Our photoelectric elements differ considerably from Wehinger's previous solution. The early A primary appears to be accompanied by a fainter G secondary of nearly equal size; this cooler member fills its Roche lobe for our photometric mass ratio q = 0.4. The absolute elements, of BR Cyg, tentatively estimated by assuming for the primary a mass of 2.5 Msun, reveal that the secondary is distinctly oversized and overluminous for its mass and spectral type, as are common subgiant secondaries of Algols.
