Homogeneous metal abundances for 94 galactic globular clusters are derived using recent high-quality spectroscopic Fe/H values to calibrate several metallicity indicators. The sample includes 13 HB type 7 clusters, 18 Oosterhoff I clusters, 14 Oosterhoff II clusters, and 14 HB type 1 clusters. The results are shown to be consistent with a metal-abundance gradient in the galactic halo. Evidence is obtained which appears to suggest that, for all clusters except very blue RR Lyrae-poor systems, both the metal abundance and the so-called second parameter have a radial gradient throughout the halo.
