The Phoenix has landed. Touching down in the northern polar region of
Mars amidst much media and public attention, Phoenix has set about its
task with trenchant zeal. The author describes how a tense mission
control at JPL watched over the landing, and we take a look at the first
pictures and results to come in from the little spacecraft.
