We present an algorithm for retrieval of parameters from MGS TES data using a spectral sensitivity matrix. This algorithm is capable of efficiently retrieving dust optical depth, effective radius, and surface temperature simultaneously from data on a global scale. We will discuss our assumptions and uncertainties and their effect on the results. Dust vertical mixing in particular can introduce significant uncertainties in retrieved optical depth. We apply our retrieval algorithm to data from Martian global dust storm 2001A. We will present all trends in our retrieval, particularly correlations among the retrieved parameters.
