The reflection coefficients of minor planets and meteors are compared using TRIAD data and spectrophotometric measurements of achondrites and ordinary chondrites. The geometrical albedo of asteroids is calculated from brightness measurements at the totality phase. The meteor albedo is obtained using light flux measurements in the integrating sphere of the spectrometer. It is found that the average albedo of meteors with unweathered surfaces is 20-40 percent higher than that of asteroids. Unless the silicate minerals on the surface of S-asteroids are not darker than their meteoritic analogs, the results contradict the mineralogical interpretation of S-asteroids as stone-iron objects.
