The present paper deals with the PO3 camera for photographic observations of bright artificial satellites. A short description of the instrument is given. Justification of the polar axis in the North Pole is described and the achieved accuracy of this process is shown. The precision of the star tracking by the camera's sidereal motion is discussed. Optical calibration based on Turner's linear, quadratic and minor cubic observational equations is presented, as well as an estimate of the object image position accuracy.
