Thermodynamic studies of germanium transport by its iodides, a theoretical and experimental study on gas dynamic regimes in function of transport parameters, and an experimental study of the nucleation of mercuric iodide based on classical nucleation theories are reported. A simple classification of these systems, based on possible transport modes, is proposed.
