We have analyzed the data sets obtained with the SOT instrument on Hinode during the disc passage of AR 10923 (November 10--20, 2006). Along with a limited number of jet-like features (Katsukawa 2007), we found other kinds of bright chromospheric transients abundantly pervading the entire penumbra and drifting as a whole in a direction perpendicular to their long axes. Quantitative analysis based on our recent penumbral model (Ryutova et al. 2008a) shows that they have all the signatures of bow shocks produced in the overlying chromosphere by post-reconnection penumbral filaments.
