This research has been in progress since fiscal 1994; we have carried
out investigations, studies, and analyses with the aim of defining the
requirements for configuration, functions, and performance of the
navigation and guidance system from the viewpoint of the navigation and
guidance technology necessary for the lunar experimental lander.
